Cinco de Mayo- Frida Kahlo Inspiration
Happy Cinco de Mayo everyone! This has to be my favorite in this issue of Vogue Japan. I am in love with the styling that is totally inspired by the legendary painter Frida Kahlo. The patterns and colors in these photos are a very beautiful update of traditional Mexican prints. Frida Kahlo was known not only for her paintings, but also for her unique fashion choices. She dressed in traditional Mexican clothing because her heritage was very important to her. The gorgeous photography was done by Giampolo Sgura and the styling was done by Anna Dello Russo. Nice homage to Frida and to Mexico, salud!

Vogue Japan Angels SS 2013 Spreads
Here are some spreads from the SS 2013 issue of Vogue Japan Angels. This issue is full of kids fashion and kids rooms. I love the photography and the styling! Some of the spreads are so fun too, like the last photo. So creative and cute!
Vogue Japan May 2013 Spreads
Here are some spreads from the Vogue Japan May 2013 issue that I really like. I just love how playful the styling is, especially the mix of patterns and color. I wish I was so bold to wear some of these outfits! I have found the photography in this edition is just beautiful- even the concept of a giant Hello Kitty is just plain awesome!

Aquarian
I started out this painting, Aquarian as a drawing on Fresh Paint and I wanted to play with adding minimal color through hand-drawn patterns and digital patterns. I really like this color palette of neutrals with pops of pastel pink/blue and teal.
